Today, while overcast, was humid and warm with only a mist in the air. It was wonderful. I woke up before everyone else at 7am, but the sun was only just starting to come up thanks to Daylight Savings Time. I was able to get some work done before the kids woke up, then I went out and did some work for the campgrounds as part of our work exchange, cleaning some moss off of a few cabins, and while I was doing so, our visitors showed up, so I wasn’t able to complete as it’s not a great idea to be sitting outside the door of an occupied cabin, scrubbing.
So, I went to work on a couple other cabins that are scheduled for visitors to show up later in the evening. They showed up early, so that was down as well.
I’m looking forward to getting the remaining parts I wasn’t able to clean, all cleaned up, and so that will be another day. Moss loves to grow in the West Coast humidity, which is perpetually above 95%, no matter what time of year it is.
While I was cleaning, Megan took the kids down to the beach to run off some of that pent up energy from needing to stay inside due to heavy rain yesterday. The kids love running along the beach, and chasing waves. Of course, this means they also get very wet, and there is nothing you can do to stop that from happening!
Of course, with how warm it was today (I worked outside in a t-shirt), the kids were fine, and when I was finished, I caught up to them jumping in puddles. Getting their boots off, was a deluge of water! Then inside for some dry clothes and hot chocolate.
This sort of thing is what makes being an RV Family so freeing. We wake up when we want, which is when the sun rises, and just do what we want. There is no real schedule to keep, no worrying about being so busy that we can’t take the kids down to the beach to chase waves and hunt for shells, or beautiful seaweed.
Freedom comes in many different forms, and this is ours.
As an extra, because we work from home, Megan is currently starting up a multi-hostess party, and needs one or two more people willing to host a party. It’s free, and there’s no obligations. Megan is actually the one that does the work, you only need to add people into a party group on Facebook, and YOU get FREE makeup once your party qualifies!
