The other day, Megan took Miya to the petting zoo with her friend. Petting Zoo’s are great fun for younger children, providing not only enjoyment, but education.
They’re also affordable. A family can usually get in for less than $40, and that provides access to all the animals, including the children being able to feed them.
While there are plenty of things to do that are free, every now and again, it’s nice to spend a little and learn about different animals while being able to interact with them.
This is Miya’s second visit to a petting zoo, and she absolutely loves them. Especially when she is riding a pony. Having worked with horses myself in the past, I can attest to the beauty and love of being on such an animal.
As a fulltime family, education is very important to us, and we believe that a hands on approach is far more beneficial than sitting quietly in a classroom reading a textbook. There is an entire life out there, right outside our door that is just waiting to be discovered.
What is even better than learning hands on? Sharing the experience with your friends!
